When our winemaker Steven M. first traveled to Lodi and saw the vineyards, felt the sunshine on his face and tread on powdery loam, he closed his eyes and allowed his thoughts to drift - some might say he had an out-of-body experience, Steven felt compelled to capture the carefree feeling he had that day - when his mind drifted above the fray - in eerie bottle of his wine.
But what to call his magnificent creation?

More than 100 wine grape varieties are tended by some 750 winegrape growers in Lodi. The region’s classic Mediterranean climate, with warm sunshine during the growing season and cool afternoon and evening breezes off the San Francisco Bay and San Joaquin Delta River, is an ideal environment for premium grape varieties. Lodi wines are varietally correct, fruit-forward and medium in body and tannins.
